God’s Guide for Life’s Experiences – Part 2

God’s Guide for Life’s Experiences

Psalm 25

A Prayer for Guidance and a Meditation upon God’s Character

God is our Counselor and Adviser who, with his Word, affects our thoughts, emotions, and will, so that if we seek him and obey him, we can live in the will of God.

We are invited to see ourselves in this Psalm as one who seeks God’s guidance and trusts his providence because it reflects…

…A situation similar to our own: Whatever you’re experiencing in life, you should commit your life to Jesus.

…A sinfulness similar to our own: Whatever you’re experiencing in life, you should turn away from your sin to follow Jesus.

…A Savior who is also our own: Whatever you’re experiencing in life, Jesus has endured similar suffering and offers you redemption.

The Bible’s Theology is to guide how we understand our experiences, we should be careful about letting our experiences guide our theology.
