Experiencing Wholeness in Jesus in a Broken World
James 4:11-5:6
Main Point: Knowing Jesus in his providence brings wholeness to our lives.
Jesus is Lord, Lawgiver, Judge, and Ruler now and in the age to come.
There are three ways that James applies Jesus’ providence to our lives to work his wholeness in us:
1) You are not the lawgiver and Judge, so be careful how you speak to and about others (4:11-12).
2) You are not the Lord over life and death, so be careful how you make your plans (4:13-17; Luke 12:13-21).
3) You will answer for how you used your earthly resources, so be careful to be generous (5:1-6).
