Pursue Devotion to Jesus – 1 Timothy 4:6-10

v6-8 – Faith and Good Doctrine lead to training in godliness (discipline for devotion)

The Pursuit of Devotion to Jesus is illustrated by Marriage and inferred in the Gospel.

Training for godliness is the actions we engage with to bring our religion about Jesus and our relationship with Jesus together.

Pursue devotion to Jesus:

1) You pursue devotion to Jesus by reading your Bible (John 6:63, 66-69).

2) You pursue devotion to Jesus by praying and fasting (Matthew 6).

3) You pursue devotion to Jesus by practicing silence and solitude (Matthew 14:23).

4) You pursue devotion to Jesus by singing (Colossians 3:15-16; Psalm 100).
