Experiencing Wholeness in Jesus in a Broken World
James 1:19-21
Main Point: The Path to wholeness in Christ isn’t found through impatience and anger.
Is All Anger Wrong?
God is loving and just in his anger.
(Exodus 34:6-7; Numbers 14:18; Nehemiah 9:17; Psalm 86:15, 103:8, 145:8; Joel 2:13; Jonah 4:2; Nahum 1:3; 2 Peter 3:9)
The various trials of our circumstances and relationships reveal the unrighteous anger in us.
Three simple decisions to make regarding our anger: be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger (v19).
Anger is a powerful response, but its a poor motivation (v20).
If your immediate reaction is anger when your will and desires are refused, then your not experiencing the wholeness of life that comes with knowing Jesus Christ.
